"'No, not them,' said Bruno. 'The people I see from the window. In the huts, in the distance. They're all dressed the same.'
'Ah, those people,' said Father, nodding his head and smiling slightly. 'Those people... well, they're not people at all, Bruno.'"

~ The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas - pg. 53
I love the fairytale feel of this book and that it's told from the point of view of a little boy who doesn't understand what's going on around him. I recommend listening to it on audiobook - the man who does the reading is fantastic.

Movie Trailer:
I didn't realize there was a movie until I looked for the book trailer. Have any of you seen it?

The movie was incredible (I didn't realize there was a book!). But then ending is so...you know (I don't want to say in case someone hasn't read/watched it). It haunts me, too.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen it, but I heard the book was amazing! Hope you are doing well Mary!
